Privacy Policy

When you use voice features, your audio is transmitted securely, transcribed, and permanently deleted within 60 seconds. We never store your voice recordings, never use them for training, and never share them.

• Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), and optional WhatsApp number.
• CV data: the information you provide by voice, typing, or by uploading an existing CV — including work history, education, skills, and an optional photo.
• Usage data: plan status, feature usage counts (including document downloads), and basic technical logs.
• Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

To provide the service (creating, storing, tailoring, and exporting your CVs and cover letters); to process transcription, CV generation, tailoring, and interview coaching through our AI processing partners; to manage your subscription, payments, and refund eligibility; and to send essential service emails (verification, receipts, password resets), plus product updates only if you opt in.

We use a small number of trusted processors to run TalkCV: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Stripe (payments), and our trusted AI model providers (processing your CV text to generate and improve content). Your CV content is sent to these AI providers solely to generate your documents; it is not used by them to train their models under our agreements. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Your CVs and account data are retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data — CVs, cover letters, uploads, and account details — is permanently deleted within 30 days, except minimal records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes.

Wherever you are, you can: access and download your data; correct it; delete your account and all associated data from account settings; and object to or restrict processing. If you are in the UK or EU, these are your rights under UK GDPR / GDPR, and you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your career information seriously.

TalkCV is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
