Terms of Service

TalkCV helps you create, improve, tailor, and practise for job applications using AI. AI-generated content is a draft based on the information you provide: you are responsible for reviewing it, ensuring its accuracy, and confirming that your CV truthfully represents you. TalkCV never invents experience on your behalf, and you must not use the service to create misleading or fraudulent application materials.

You must provide accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. One account per person.

Free and paid plans are described on the Pricing page, including monthly usage limits for specific features. Paid plans are billed in USD via Stripe and renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from account settings; your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. Prices shown in other currencies are approximate conversions only.

If you are unhappy with your first upgrade to a paid plan, email hello@talkcv.app within 7 days of that first payment and we will refund it in full — provided no CVs or cover letters have been downloaded from your account since the upgrade. Once you download a document, or after 7 days, the payment becomes non-refundable except where required by law. The guarantee applies once per customer, to the first payment of a first subscription, and not to renewals. By subscribing, you consent to immediate access to paid features and acknowledge that your refund right ends as described above.

You own your CVs, cover letters, and everything you create with TalkCV. You grant us only the limited licence needed to store and process that content to provide the service, including processing through our AI partners as described in the Privacy Policy.

You must not misuse the service, including: attempting to access others’ data, reverse engineering, scraping, reselling access, using the service for unlawful purposes, or attempting to circumvent usage limits. We may suspend accounts that do.

Audio is transcribed and permanently deleted within 60 seconds, as described in the Privacy Policy.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may improve or modify features over time. If we ever discontinue the service, you will have the opportunity to export your CVs first.

TalkCV is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including hiring outcomes; our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory consumer rights.

You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
